Dr. Fife graduated with a medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He went on to complete an internal medicine residency and a two-year fellowship in infectious disease at the University of California, Irvine. He began teaching in 1975 and gradually merged teaching with primary care. Dr. fife's interests include AIDS care and geriatrics. He is medical director of Anberry Rehabilitation Hospital, where the residents are trained in geriatrics.
