Welcome to Merced Family Medicine Residency Program

The Merced Family Medicine Residency Program trains resident physicians who will be able to provide comprehensive care and continuity of care to their patients in a caring and compassionate manner. Training to provide care in rural and under-served environments is a major tenet of our philosophy of residency education. We provide this training by giving residents an experience that fosters independent learning, strong faculty support, and a rich variety of experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
