Welcome to Modesto Family Practice Residency Program

Stanislaus County is extremely proud of their Family Practice Residency Program, which is the only Residency in the County and based in Modesto, California. The Family Practice Residency Program is a division of Stanislaus County's Health Services Agency and operates in cooperation with Doctors Medical Center, which is a division of Tenet Health Systems. The Family Practice Residency Program was established in 1975, but prior to that there was a General Practice Residency Program which began in the 1950's. Our accredited Program presently is a 27 resident Program (9-9-9). For years we have focused training residents to practice in both rural and under-served settings. Our patient base is primarily under-served families and individuals from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
