Dr. Paulson received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame in 1992. In 1996 he graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland in 1999. Following residency training, Dr. Paulson spent two years stationed at Incirlik Airbase, Turkey. His interests include women's health, obstetrics, and procedural medicine. He also has a special interest in medical missions having traveled to the Dominican Republic on two separate occasions.
