Dr. Callahan received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
from the University of Vermont in 1972. After holding a variety of
teaching and research positions in Los Angeles and at the University of
West Virginia, he joined our Department in 1985. Dr. Callahan
coordinates behavioral medicine training for our residents. His
professional interests are in health psychology, physician-patient
interaction and health outcomes, exercise, death and dying, human
sexuality, and telemedicine.
